Who's He Talking About?
In perhaps the most ironic speech of his Presidency, Geroge W. Bush made the case in hi annual State of the Economy address that Chief Executives' salaries should be linked to performance. Does this mean he thinks his own salary should be linked to his performance? If so, around 70 percent of the country is demanding he return most of it.
That said, it is heartening to hear him finally address income inequality in this country. After year of hearing the President talk about how strong the economy is and how his tax cuts are helping to create jobs, he has finally acknowledged that many Americans are being left behind by the one-sided growth from his tax cuts. Face it, the tax cuts helped the richest of us, leaving the middle class and working Americans behind.
